January 30, 2010GULISTAN performs traditional Central Asian dances in an outdoor Festival of World Dance at the new Dance Fantasy Cultural Arts Center, 10600 Victory Bl (cross street Cahuenga), North Hollywood, CA 91606. Admission is free. Arts, crafts, and food booths also featured.
March 6, 2010 GULISTAN invited to perform Persian and Central Asian dances with BELLYTWINS for Pakistan TV's Pakistani Awards Show at the Sheraton Park Hotel, Anaheim Resort.
March 14, 2010 GULISTAN dancers perform improvisational Persian dance to live accompaniment at the 2nd
Annual Nowruz (Iranian New Year) Festival at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Sponsored by the Farhang Foundation, the
festival takes place from 11 AM and 4 PM.
May 6, 2010 7pm to 9pm - Carolyn Krueger will perform Central Asian and Persian dance at the Craft and Folk Art Museum (CAFAM) in a program celebrating the exhibit BOLD ABSTRACTIONS: Textiles from Central Asia and Iran. Directed by Rowan Storm, the performance features storytelling, musical performances by Rowan Storm, Tanya Merchant and Neil Siegel, and additional dances by Travis Jarrell. May 16, 2010 GULISTAN RECEIVES TWO NOMINATIONS! The Dance Resource Center of Los Angeles holds its annual Lester Horton Awards Celebration on 5/16. GULISTAN has been nominated in two categories: Outstanding Achievement in World Dance for Crossings, an original full-length dance theater work; and Outstanding
Achievement in Costume Design--Nikii Henry and Carolyn Krueger for "Enchanted Dune" (the opening piece in Crossings--see photo left).

tale "Princess Firuza and the Horse Prince," Gulistan's original production traces the journey of the brave Princess
Firuza to the far reaches of her father's kingdom as she encounters dancing
fairies, demons and magical beings along the way.
